Greetings from Chef Jacques

We’re just over a month away from our Romantic Rhine River Cruise with Tauck Tours. I’m excited to be leading over one hundred patrons on this fabulous food and wine tour of Europe. We’re starting in Amsterdam and finishing in Basel and I’ve packed the schedule with wineries and restaurants for us to visit along the way. We’ve almost sold out the entire boat but there are still a few cabins available for those who are interested. You can find out more details about the cruise here. Also in September, I can now confirm that Steve Lauri of the famed band The Hollies will be playing his second concert at L’Auberge. Last year’s Musique et Cuisine Dinner with Steve was an incredible, sold-out night of Rock and Roll and delicious food.

Did I mention that the garden is bursting with tomatoes right now? Our famous tomato salads are on the menu and it is included with the price of your meal at L’Auberge. You’ll also find our house-made Garden Bloody Marys on our weekend brunch menu, cold gazpacho soup, and warm tomato bisque. I hope to see you soon so you may enjoy the tastes of summer.

Wine Festival and Luncheon

Our popular Wine Festival and Luncheon returns on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Please join us as we sample twelve wines from California, Germany, Chile, Austria, and of course, France. Arrive anytime between 11:30 and 1:00pm for a walk-around tasting of these fine wines paired with Chef Jacques’ seasonal canapés. Our sommeliers will be on-hand to guide you through the tasting and answer questions. Following the tasting, sit down and enjoy a complete luncheon of your choice from our four-course menu.

Musique et Cuisine featuring Steve Lauri of The Hollies

We are thrilled to announce an encore performance on Friday, September 8 at 7:00pm featuring Steve Lauri, world-renowned singer/songwriter and member of the legendary British band The Hollies.The Hollies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 and are known for their many hits such as “Just One Look” and “The Air That I Breathe”. With a new album on the horizon, Steve will preview a few of his new songs for us.

Silver Oak Winery Dinner

Please join us at L’Auberge Chez François on Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30pm as we welcome Silver Oak Winery for a special dinner collaboration. Silver Oak is best known for exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon which has been in production for over 40 years at their Napa Valley and Alexander Valley wineries. Our menu will feature Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Merlot from their sister property, Twomey Vineyards. Jim Flood, Southeastern Sales Ambassador for Silver Oak and Twomey Cellars will discuss each wine pairing. Hope to see you there.

Musical Brunch featuring
Jarrett Laskey

Please join us on Sunday, September 17 at 11:00am for another installment in our musical brunch series. This month we will be welcoming back guitarist Jarrett Laskey as he performs his repertoire of classical and contemporary music favorites. Formally trained and educated, Jarrett creates an elegant ambiance to your afternoon while dining on Chef Jacques’ specially created menu, including our famous Garden Bloody Marys, mimosas, or Cremant d’Alsace cocktails. Sundays are made for brunch!

Fredy Contreras began working as a server at L’Auberge Chez François in June 2007. He’s a gentleman of few words, but has many fans. Fredy’s attentiveness and friendly demeanor are reasons that our guests always ask for him. While his job is challenging, Fredy shows no limit to his abilities. Keep up the great work!
