Cooking Demonstrations & Wine Dinners

Chef Jacques Cooking DemoJoin Chef Jacques Haeringer at the award-winning L’Auberge Chez François for one of our lively and entertaining cooking demonstrations combined with a delightful meal.  At each event, Jacques will share his passion for classic and contemporary French cuisine by teaching expert cooking techniques and tricks of the trade, and sharing these recipes for the home chef, while guests sip specially chosen wine. 

After the demo, our guests will then enjoy their “just demonstrated” five-course luncheon in our garden room, paired with wines selected by our sommelier.  Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase these wines at a special “trade” price. Bon Appetit, merci beaucoup et à bientôt.

Musical Brunch with Guitarist Alex Barnett

A British journalist coined the word “brunch” in 1895, describing it as a Sunday repast for Saturday night carousers.  Please join Chef Jacques and L’Auberge Chez François on April 2nd at 11am, as we host our musical event featuring classical guitarist Alexander Barnett.

Alex is a Baltimore native who has quickly become a L'Auberge Chez François regular with numerous sold-out events. His music style varies from the Romantic, Classical, and Renaissance eras. We look forward to having Alex return to entertain our guests with his jazz and classical guitar performance.

Chef Jacques has created a special menu for the day including our newest brunch addition, Creekstone Farms Filet Mignon and local Indian Springs Eggs, and a delicious Brioche French Toast with Virginia Maple Syrup. Oh yes, bien sûr, we’ll have plenty of cocktails, including Crémant d’Alsace, Bloody Marys and Mimosas. We hope you will join us for a Sunday afternoon in beautiful Great Falls, Virginia.
