Virginia’s Best: The Wines of Veritas Vineyard and Winery

  • July 27, 2017
    6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

At L’Auberge Chez François, we are proud to host wine dinners, tastings and other events that highlight the best wine, beer, cider and produce the region offers. Please join us Thursday, July 27th as we welcome father and daughter team Andrew Hodson and Emily Pelton of Veritas Vineyard and Winery. Veritas is a family-owned and run farm winery nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, founded in 1999 when Andrew and Patricia Hodson, bitten by the wine bug, bought Saddleback Farm near Monticello and planted their first five acres of grapevines. Since then, the Hodsons’ three children have joined them in the business, and the vineyard has grown to over fifty acres. Daughter Emily has supervised some fifteen vintages, garnering several gold medals in recent years, and was recently named Wine Person of the Year by the Virginia Wineries Association for her work in founding the Virginia Winemaker’s Research Exchange. We look forward to enjoying these wines accompanied by Chef Jacques’ menu dégustation.
