Chef Jacques asks, “Do they make wine in Italy?” Indeed they do, and some of the finest in the world, too (at least outside of France)! Please join us Thursday, May 1st at 6:00pm for a delectable tasting and scrumptious dinner experience featuring wines from one of Tuscany’s most celebrated producers, Argiano.
Joining us the on this Italian and French Culinary evening will be Friends and Celebrity Chef Extraordinaire Roberto Donna and his lovely wife, Restauranteur Nancy. Chef Jacques is honored the Famed Italian chef Roberto Donna, in his DC area 40-year career will be on hand to offer some Italian Chef lore.
Margherita Mascagni is a dynamic force within the world of wine, bringing her passion, expertise, and multilingual talents to the forefront of global wine exportation. As the Export Manager at Argiano, Margherita has spent the last four years dedicated to elevating the brand’s presence on the international stage.
Argiano as an estate date back to 1580, when the Pecci family laid the cornerstone of the Villa Bell’Aria (literally, the “Good Air Villa”) in Southwest Montalcino, planting grapevines and olive groves on the surrounding land.
While steeped in rich history, the current moment is an important one in the story of Argiano; CEO and winemaker Bernardino Sani, along with agronomist Franceso Monari, have instituted a new focus on terroir-driven wines while overseeing the reconstruction of the historic Renaissance-era villa at the heart of the estate. Their efforts have paid off to great acclaim including the #1 Wine of the Year for 2023 in Wine Spectator for their 2018 Brunello di Montalcino.
Our “Grande Tente” will be the perfect place for a relaxing Chef’s Jacques’ delectable six course Italian-themed repast, exquisite wines from one of Italy’s great producers Argiano, and of course, with Chef Roberto Donna.
