Romantic celebrations are a tradition at L’Auberge Chez François, you might even say that they are our “raison d’etre.” Our philosophy is that life’s memorable moments are not complete without a festive meal and, mais oui, but of course, Champagne!
We are thrilled to present just in time for the magical romance month of February: “What’s Behind the Bubbles?” Champagne Tasting and Culinary Dinner Experience!
Scintillating, sensuous Champagne, magical and mysterious. Most Champagnes are blends of two or three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, but what do each of these contribute to the wine? Let’s find out! Please join us Thursday, February 9th, for an exciting and revealing Champagne tasting and dinner experience not to be missed at L’Auberge Chez François. Guests will be greeted with Chef Jacques’ seasonal hors d’oeuvres and a glass of rare pinot noir from the Côteaux Champenois.
Our head sommelier, Alex Bardsley, will lead us thru a pre-dinner tasting flight of three excellent, single-varietal Champagnes, to compare and contrast the three main varieties used to create Champagne. The tasting will be followed by a luscious dinner accompanied by two additional delectable Champagnes; a Brut and a Brut Rosé. Chef Jacques’ menu will elevate the experience and make you wonder why you don’t enjoy Champagne with dinner more often, and not just as an aperitif. So invite someone special for a wonderful evening of Champagne and cuisine at L’Auberge Chez Francois and celebrate Romance, our “raison d’etre.”
